My feet hurt......UGH
My feet have been hurting. Not really sure why, because I have not pushed my miles or pushed anything for that matter. When I wake up in the morning, the bottoms of both feet hurt. I think it is Plantar Fasciitis. About five minutes of walking and moving around, they feel OK. Later in the day, mostly when I am ready for a relaxing moment and sit to watch a show or go to bed, the tops of my feet ache. I had a stress fracture in my right foot at the beginning of the year and I am certain it just has not healed, even with all the Non-running I did this summer. The problem is, on my left foot, it is starting to hurt on the top where my toes bend. I massaged my feet the other night with some delicious lotion my sister in law had me try from The Body Shop. (smelled so good) As I was massaging that area of my foot, I would get moments of serious sharp pain. What is wrong with me? Why does it seem that when I am ready to get serious about training and my routine, that something decides to break on me? UGH......

I hear you..I just discovered that I have planter facitis (sp?). I have no other injuries but this at a VERY crucial time in my training and it is extremely frustrating. I have working with Massage Therapist and a Ped doc. to rememdy the problem and doing every stretch, icing, exercise that I am told. I hope it improves for you because it a real nuisance. Good luck!
Have you tried "The Stick"? It totally helped my hubby's PF. What a bummer! It is so not fun to have your body not cooperate! Good luck.
Oh, I hear you! Mine is my right knee... I hate giving all of those doomsayers (who think running will ruin your body) anything to go on!
janice- remember my injury before the St. George? It hurt under my ankle as well as on top of my foot where my big toe starts to bend from my foot. If that is what you are experiencing then it is a tendon that runs down from your know that needs to be worked out. Sorry I dont know the technical terms.
Oh, no! Everyone I know is experiencing some sort of injury right now and plantar fasciitis is at the top of the list.
I hope you feel better soon.
I don't know whether to write off the Country Music Marathon or not. I know I at least will do the half. My ankle and knee are my problem areas. I guess everyone has one?
When would your official marathon training begin?
