8+5= 13

Well, I decided to run 8 on the treadmill yesterday (Sat.. it was 12 degrees) instead of trying for 13 out on the ice and snow. I am wishing I had waited to run my 13 for Sunday, because the temps were up over 40. Our church was pushed from 9:30 Am to 1:00 PM so Sunday Morning when I saw this....
I decided to go out and run 5 before I showered for Church. I am so happy I did. It was so nice and it felt so dag-gum-good. I took my camera and was able to get some shots of my run.

This dog meets me out at the road every time I run by. He barks and does his thing, but I think he just wants a friend, to bad I am not willing to be that for him/her.

I love this barn. They grow a lot of tobacco here, and in this barn you can see it hanging and drying. This is my 2 1/2 mile turn around.

Just thought I would snap a shadow picture. It's hard getting a decent shot while in motion.
I love the sound of all the water running, and the sound of my feet splashing in little puddles of melted snow. I can't wait for SPRING.

Nice run!! One day I will run 5 miles as fast as that! For now I will take my slightly slower pace. :) I can't wait for spring either! I got a taste of running outside in shorts while in Hawaii, I really need spring.

That was a great run! I'm glad you enjoyed the warmer temps. I second the wish for spring...

Thanks for your encouragement about the marathon. I'm not giving up. I was just....caught off guard, I guess.

Good for you. I think I might brave up the cold and take a run outside when Cambree goes down for a nap because the kids don't have school and so Marcus can babysit.

Are you 100% sure that it's "tobacco" hanging in that barn drying out??!!!
Nice run-spring came here for the weekend too, it got into the upper 30's both days....what a nice break from the cold days of hell we've been having!

Great job. I was able to barely make it through my long run yesterday of 23 miles. I made it but it was tuff. I run from church to home and my legs are hurting at mile 2. :)
You run FAST. That is cool. Awesome pics too. Last weekend on my long run, I run into a lady who was walking her pony. HAHA. I took a pic of it.

I love that you can take pictures and run! Thanks for the advice on Boston.. I think I'm just mentally nervous right now, I need to focus on one week at a time!

Great pictures! I love when people post pictures of their run. I would like it even better if my garmin said your time and distance. :)

I appreciate the tenor of this post - instead of getting rigidly compliant with pre-set schedule, grab a camera, lace on the shoes and go for a run! Pictures are very nice - love the bridge.

Our church is at 1:00 now, too, but I never thought about going out for a run in the morning. It's usually my rest day, but now that I think about it, what better way to start the day. Then I can rest on a different day during the week when I'm usually busier. Hmmm.

Love the pics!!
