My new Kicks.....

I got my new running shoes in the mail today. YEAH ME! I love running in Mizuno's and very rarely run in anything different. I ordered the Wave Nirvana 5 this time, and so far I am in Love. I will wear them around the house today and tomorrow and run in them for my 16 miler on Saturday. My legs are feeling surprisingly good after the marathon. I have taken the entire week off. I did 1 hr and 20 min of Yoga today and it felt so good. I plan on running a very easy 4-5 tomorrow to see how the legs are doing and then of course Sat is the long run. Thanks for all the sweet comments about my post race freak out. To answer a few questions...
Yes I took Roctane every 5 miles and drank water at every mile and Gatorade at almost every mile. It was very watered down though. I agree with a few of the comments that it could have been low blood sugar. I did nothing new or different with this marathon then I have done with past marathons. I think with the under training it just effected me more then normal.

I rubbed raw around my sports bra and man it has been a killer this time. It almost feels like a burn. If I didn't hate my body so badly I would share pictures. I am looking to buy some new sports bras... any suggestions?

nice shoes...I've never tried Mizuno's...why do you like them the best?

I am about a C cup and I love the Moving Comfort Phoebe bra. I like the back closure because when I'm tired and sweaty the last thing I want to do is fight with my sports bra.

I have a few and just alternate between them. I only use them for running because I don't really need that much support for anything else. I used them while I was training for my marathon (and during the marathon) and only occasionally did I have slight rubbing underneath my boobs and when I did get it the only time I felt it was in the shower right after a run it burned.

I am always looking for new bras so I am glad you are soliciting information from others ;)

I'm a Target sports bra girl, too. (And don't hate your body! You are strong, fast, and pretty! What's to hate?)

I think I like the Mizuno's, but I got a red spot where that elastic is attached to the tongue. I hope I get used to it.

I love the new kicks! I am thinking about trying mizunos next, but not sure if I can leave my Brooks!

I usually get the target sports bras and body glide around.

Ooh, I hate the sports bra "burn". One of those things that you dont necessarily notice until you get into the shower, and then YEOWCH! I dont typically chafe too bad there (maybe it's the little boobs and no movement of the bra? :) but the couple sports bras I have that I know chafe me, I'll just rub some Vaseline on my skin under the band and am fine. It's at least a temp fix if you dont want to run out and buy a new bra right away!

Nice shoes!

I hope everything feels good for your run this weekend, and that the sports-bra chafe heals up. Ouchie!

I have one sports bra with seams that I can only use for short runs because it rubs...ouch! neosporin!!!

Love my mizuno's too and I can't wait to wear out some of the other shoes I decided to try...so I can get more

I'm with RunnerMom, I am a Target girl.

How did the 16 miler go in the new shoes?

I'm a Moving Comfort gal, not sure which one but they've just been good for me. I still get some chafing occasionally, though.
